Be part of UAB Mentorships
Can you imagine having an experienced professional you can ask all your questions about your career throughout the academic year?
The UAB Mentoring Programme supports students in their transition to the job market within their field of interest. Through the relationship established between mentor and mentee, it facilitates contact with professionals in the sector, helps resolve doubts, and encourages the sharing of experiences. It also strengthens transversal skills through training sessions held throughout the year.

- November–April: programme implementation

- The programme starts with the announcement of the pairing between student and professional. The mentor will be selected depending on the mentee's area of knowledge and their work interest. The programme will do its best to adjust to the mentorship request and guarantees that the mentor will have the same qualification as the student.
- The programme will be run in online and/or face-to-face group sessions involving the mentors and mentees.
- Short sessions and tools will be offered related to professional competencies and skills, such as negotiation and assertive communication.
- There will be meetings between mentors and mentees throughout the programme, as well as visits to the company where the mentor works professionally.
- Mentees who are accepted to the programme will be able to obtain 3 RAC credits for their curricular record, should they successfully pass the mentoring programme, for which they will need to attend 80% of the sessions, present the Elevator Pitch and deliver the Action Plan.
- The mentoring programme is run from the beginning of November 2024 to the beginning of May 2025. It lasts approximately 6 months with an afternoon schedule of activities, not including meetings and visits between the mentor and the mentee, which will be at the discretion of the participants. The activities are scheduled to be both online and face-to-face, specifically on the UAB Campus.
- Anyone who says they do not have enough time to satisfactorily take the programme, as well as any students who plan to go on an exchange programme in the academic year in question, will be excluded from the mentoring programme selection procedure.
