During the 2025/26 academic year, UAB Libraries have once again participated in the project “Tocar la història“, an initiative that brings documentary heritage into the classroom.

Drawing of a hand touching a map of the world

Students from the History and Humanities degree programmes attended several sessions, where they had the opportunity to work directly with the Reserve Collection. Among the materials consulted were works such as the Biblia Regia and the Martí Gelabertó’s Collection of Antique Maps.

These sessions provide a meaningful learning experience based on direct interaction with original documents, while highlighting the role of libraries as key spaces supporting teaching. The project is complemented by a set of teaching units that showcase possible educational applications of these collections.

If you are teaching staff interested in organizing a session of this kind, please contact your reference library for further information.
